Star Trek Turns 50

I can't begin to describe how profoundly Star Trek has affected me. We grew up together, Star Trek and I. 

Star Trek premiered on this date in 1966 and the world changed forever. Here is just a smattering of Trek goodness on this momentous occasion.

Tomorrow the post office in Rising Star, the little town 10 miles to our north is hosting an event. I'll be there.
